The Thought Process Behind the Design:
Level 1: The school is locate between to residential areas, and is oriented to to be accessible when coming from either city. The location of the buildings created a safe space in the middle of the building for the kindergartners to play in during their break. Based on the location of the playground, a mix of brick and gabion walls are strategically placed to provide privacy, yet allowing wind to cool down the building naturally. In addition to that, one of the roofs is design with water collection in mind filtering the water through a charcoal filter and storing it in a location that would leave it cool. The other roofs have solar panels to store energy. With these systems in place the building is the building has the ability to stay off grid.
